Waldrep has over 20 years of experience in higher education with an emphasis in academic affairs and career development field of architecture students. Waldrep earned a Ph.D. in counseling and development from The American University, a master of architecture from Arizona State University, and a bachelor of science from the University of Michigan.
Author of Becoming an Architect: A Guide to Careers in Design, 3rd ed. (2014), he has been administrator for undergraduate students services in the Illinois School of Architecture, associate executive director of the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB), associate dean at the School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation at the University of Maryland, and assistant dean at the College of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology.
